Accountants are always involved in the finance of the organization where often people call them finance professionals in other words. They carried an extensive number of job obligations on their shoulders one after another. They are typically associated with Data Entry, Bookkeeping, Petty Cash, Employee Payroll, Bank Reconciliation, Profit & Loss, Expenditures, Finance etc. They also prepare a company’s financial report which helps them to figure out the company’s financial standing. Furthermore, they usually perform an audit on the weekly or monthly basis to make sure that no errors occur.
Job Responsibilities of an Accountant:
- Records accounts data and provides financial information based on that. These include reports, profit and loss statement, balance sheet etc.
- Records financial transactions and recommends financial actions and options
- Prepares controls by making policies and procedures and ensures that these are followed
- Reconciliation is done with the bank and for any discrepancies that arises
- Payments are made after checking all necessary documents
- Records the receipt of payments
- Compiling with state and local legal requirements by staying updated about all new rules and laws
- Oversees audit requirements and helps in carrying out internal and external audits
Job Requirements For Accountant:
- A basic understanding of all the aspects of accountancy is mandatory.
- Basic communication skills in English both written and verbal.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for dealing with customers.
- Quick learner with the ability to work independently.
